Viba's designers set out to keep the classic silhouette instantly recognisable while replacing key structural parts with 3D printed aluminium, unlocking shapes that no traditional workshop could ever build. The result reads as fresh, technical and playful, faithful to the friendly spirit of the original Monkey.The BuildThe aluminium fuel tank is printed on an SLM 800 machine and hides an internal lattice that limits fuel movement during braking and cornering. The front mudguard carries a voronoi structure that hosts a lenticular headlight, and the levers integrate LED turn signals inside their hollow bodies, with power wiring routed through the print itself. Finishing touches keep the piece grounded in craft: a linen saddle sewn by a Compagnon du Devoir craftsman, an anthracite grey finish lifted by an orange strap and a 1.5mm printed aluminium front rack sized for a shopping bag. Every part exists to make everyday life easier, with elegance.
